After His resurrection, Jesus met with His disciples in Galilee and gave them one of His final commands before ascending to heaven. This is known as the Great Commission.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age,"

Throughout Jesus’ earthly ministry, crowds gathered around Him. Many came seeking healing, food, relief from suffering, and answers to the needs of everyday life. Those needs mattered to Jesus, and He showed compassion wherever He went. But He also called people to look beyond temporary needs and toward the eternal truth of God.
The Great Commission was not simply a call to receive from Christ. It was a call to go.
Jesus instructed His disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptize them, and teach them to follow everything He had commanded. This mission began with His apostles, but it was never meant to end with them. The call to share the Gospel continues to reach believers today.
Faith is not meant to remain hidden. We are called to live in a way that points others toward Christ, to speak about the hope we have found in Him, and to help make the truth of the Gospel known.
That is the meaning behind The Great Commission artwork. It is a reminder that Jesus did not ask His followers simply to watch from the crowd. He called them to participate in His mission.
