Well first of all the printer uses 12 colors not the 4 you may be familiar with in home inkjet printers. More colors mean better definition and shading. A better picture.

The paper is a heavy stock at 200 gsm (grams per square meter). This overall combination of printing and paper are more expensive but deliver a higher quality reprint of the original. Definitely an appreciated benefit.

Shipping of a framed print is much more expensive not just due to weight but to size. Unframed prints are rolled and placed in tubes except the smaller prints like 8"x10". So, the combination of size and weight make framed prints much much more expensive.

Once you have received your print we recommend you go to your nearby Hobby Lobby and to their custom framing department. Now you can pick a frame that you really want. It fits your room's overall design and if you want a palette, you can choose one that accentuates the picture while also being a part of your room.
